The OAS provides scholarship opportunities to citizens or permanent residents of its Members for different levels of study starting from undergraduate degrees to post-doctoral research, including professional development courses, depending on each scholarship program. Lessons can be online or onsite at any educational institution from the Member States of the OAS and, for some scholarship programs, in educational institutions from the Observer States.
OAS Scholarships
My Role:
I assisted with the placement of the awardees (Regular and PAEC Programs) in Universities and Academic Institutions in the OAS Member States. Furthermore, I was responsible for revising the terms and conditions of the Agreements and Memoranda of and negotiating waivers and scholarship offers for the OAS Regular program and the PAEC Program (Programa de Alianzas para la Educación y Capacitación).
I was the project coordinator for the Brazilian Scholarship Program PAEC OAS-GCUB and I placed over 500 students from the Americas in Brazilian universities. The PAEC OAS-GCUB aims to contribute to the integration and strengthening of the Americas and train leaders capable of acting in different sectors, such as universities, research institutions, government agencies, the private sector, and others. In addition, I overviewed the information included in the OAS-GCUB Platform (Moodle) and necessary updates and maintenance.
